Banquet Houseperson

The Banquet Houseperson at The Confluence Hotel in Hastings, MN supports the preparation and upkeep of banquet and event spaces to help ensure a smooth guest experience from setup through cleanup.

Role Overview

This onsite position focuses on setting up, maintaining, and cleaning banquet and event areas. The role includes supporting banquet staff with event-related tasks, ensuring spaces are prepared to specifications and aligned with safety and sanitation expectations, and handling requests promptly during events.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of banquet events, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and other event equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events
• Support banquet staff with service-related tasks as needed
• Ensure all event spaces are prepared according to specifications and safety standards
• Respond promptly to guest or staff requests during events
• Monitor inventory of supplies and report supply needs to management
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, event setup, or related roles preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Physical stamina to lift, move, and position furniture and equipment
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Positive attitude and professional appearance

Compensation

Pay: USD 18 per hour
