Bartender

Giri Hotel Management is hiring a Full Time Bartender for a onsite role in Quincy, MA at Best Western Adams Inn Quincy. In this position, you will serve guests with prompt, accurate service and help create memorable food and drink experiences through recommendations and friendly hospitality.

This role is set up for a fast-paced bar and dining environment, where accuracy, cleanliness, and guest-focused communication are key. If you have at least two years of related experience and enjoy working on your feet while providing thoughtful service, this bartending opportunity may be a strong fit.

Responsibilities

• Verify ID and meet age requirements before serving
• Use basic math for cash handling, including making change, totaling guest checks, counting the bank, preparing cash drops, and totaling all other charges
• Understand portion sizes and operate with accuracy
• Lock and store beverage, food, and other equipment items
• Deposit cash drops and secure the bank
• Take food and drink orders
• Provide food and drink recommendations and answer menu and service questions
• Greet guests and deliver a memorable experience
• Clear, clean, and sanitize tables and the bar
• Complete side-work throughout each shift, before and after service
• Assist guests with special requests and allergy information
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• 2 or more full years of employment experience in a related position (bartender or server)
• Sufficient manual dexterity to use a knife for garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and retrieve stock overhead with or without reasonable accommodation
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
• Skill and coordination to write, pour, and carry multiple drinks, plates, and bowls at the same time
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while on your feet for 4-8 hours
• Excellent organization skills with initiative and ability to work well in a team environment
• Good communication skills
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs
• Friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Proficiency in the English language
• Must be able to work onsite at the location
• Hours required: Full Time, 32 hours per week for Afternoon (PM) and Evening
