Bartender

At Sheraton Anchorage Hotel in Anchorage, AK, this Bartender role supports a welcoming bar experience by keeping supplies ready, taking drink orders accurately, and handling payments with confidence. You will serve guests, respond quickly to requests, and maintain positive guest relations while following required liquor liability training.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Anchorage, with an hourly pay rate of USD 14.00. The role uses the MICROS system for service and order processing.

What you will do

• Maintain bar supplies efficiently, including preparing a daily requisition as needed.
• Stay fully familiar with liquor varieties, drink recipes and prices, appropriate glassware for each recipe, and required garnishes.
• Know available beverage types, along with drink recipes and pricing.
• Follow accurate cash handling procedures, including proper discounting, the MICROS system (or registers), bank procedures, and tip policies; charge guests correctly and ensure accurate intake of all monies.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, acknowledge all guests, and maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Resolve guest complaints while ensuring satisfaction during each interaction.
• Complete required liquor liability training within 30 days of employment and then again every 2 years thereafter.
