Server/Bartender

Midland Hotel and Chop House in Hico, TX is seeking a skilled Server/Bartender to support a lively, guest-focused dining experience on-site. This role blends craft cocktail service with food hospitality in a fast-paced setting, with paid training and an employee discount to help you grow in the position.

Compensation: $20.00 - $38.00 per hour (full-time or part-time). Experience required: 3 years in food service and 3 years in serving.

What you will do

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages using standard recipes and guest preferences.
• Provide recommendations and ensure satisfaction with drink selections while engaging with guests.
• Know the food menu and deliver both beverage and food service to match guest needs.
• Follow recipes closely, including craft cocktail preparation.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
• Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with inventory by helping manage supplies and tracking usage.
• Follow health and safety regulations while serving food and beverages.
• Use strong time management to handle busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.

What you bring

• Previous experience as a server and bartender (required).
• Strong sales skills to promote drink features and food features.
• Familiarity with cash and POS operations to take accurate orders (POS).
• Knowledge to follow the 9 steps of service and detailed understanding of wine, liquor, and the food menu for all shifts.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while staying detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication skills for guests and team members.
• Knowledge of fine dining service standards. Bartenders will complete server training followed by bartender training.
• Must be 21 years of age or older to serve alcohol as a server/bartender.
• Dependability is required.
• Availability Thursday through Sunday.
