Casino Service Representative
Job Description

Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive attitude and support the policies of Senior Management of the Casino.
- Follow established department and property policies and procedures for guest service standards.
- Stay compliant with uniformed appearance standards while on duty and maintain a neat, clean, and professional work area.
- Secure company funds while providing accurate, courteous guest service.
- Redeem coins/tokens, cash checks, and supply information to guests.
- Maintain and assure proper routing of the department’s paperwork.
- Handle the movement and protection of company funds, including repeated lifting up to 35 lb and pushing/pulling a 500 lb cart.
- Maintain communication with all departments, team members, and guests to support positive experiences.
- Maintain a high level of personal integrity and moral conduct free of questionable association.
- Be prepared to work in adverse conditions, including overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Obey Ameristar Casino Vicksburg and department rules, policies, and procedures.
- May perform duties in any functional area of the Cage operations department, including cage banks.
- Provide an outlet for sales and redemption of coin and chips for internal and external guests (for example: general cashier, main bank, fill bank, jackpot/fill window).
- Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations of Ameristar Casino Vicksburg.
- Maintain working knowledge of the casino’s System of internal Controls, Star Service Standards, and Federal Currency Transaction Reporting Laws as they pertain to casinos.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to read, communicate, understand, and write English.
- Ability to work with interruptions.
- Ten-key (calculator) skills.
- Good communication and guest service skills.
- Data entry/computer skills required, with a mathematically inclined mindset.
- Money handling and organizational skills preferred.
- Ability to stand for a minimum eight (8) hour shift.
- Ability to work in noisy and smoky locations on the casino floor.
- Frequenly encounter intoxicated guests.
- Provide representation of the department in specific project and company meetings.
- High School diploma; some college classes or degree preferred.
- Previous casino Cage or cash handling experience.
Compensation
Starting pay: $12.50 per hour, based on experience. (Listed hourly rate: USD 12 per hourly.)
Work Setting
Location: Vicksburg, MS (onsite). Uniformed role in cage operations with guest service responsibilities.
