Evening Concierge Lounge Attendant
Job Description
Part-time Evening Concierge Lounge Attendant role at Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln, NE (onsite), supporting the club lounge experience through guest service, lounge upkeep, and attentive hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the club lounge for seating availability, service, safety, cleanliness, and overall guest well-being.
- Represent the hotel as an ambassador by providing assistance and helpful information about local area attractions for guests and patrons.
- Use a clear, understandable speaking voice; apply good judgment when answering questions.
- Provide accurate details on outlet hours of operation, directions to local attractions, meeting room information, car rentals, and airline shuttle service based on individual needs.
- Collect, summarize, and share information with guests about the property and surrounding amenities, including special events and activities.
- Handle guest transactions to support a positive experience, including greeting and welcoming all guests.
- Maintain lounge food and snack standards by ensuring snacks, fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables are cut, stocked, properly stored, and labeled daily.
- Maintain glassware inventory and uphold cleanliness; may include shining glassware.
- Follow all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations for serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Complete general cleaning tasks using assigned standard cleaning products to meet health standards.
Requirements
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and Husker Game Days, and to work under pressure.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active Lancaster County Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service Training Certification, plus any additional required training/certifications per Marcus Hotels & Resorts, Marriott, and Lancaster County.
- Ability to address guest and employee concerns in a friendly, positive manner by listening to the concern, showing empathy, and providing proactive solutions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior hospitality experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, produce quality and accurate work, and maintain professionalism.
- Maintain a professional, well-groomed, courteous appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Strong conversation and etiquette skills with effective interpersonal, listening, and communication abilities, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
