EVS Floor Attendant

Under the supervision of the Supervisor - EVS, this part-time EVS Floor Attendant role is responsible for maintaining public and team member areas at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol in a clean, sanitary, and attractive condition, supporting guest comfort and property readiness.

Role Overview

The EVS Floor Attendant works to ensure floors and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized, restrooms are stocked and sanitized, and any maintenance or safety concerns are observed and reported. The position supports department procedures, schedules, and performance standards while collaborating with supervisors and other team members across the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Help create a positive guest environment by actively building and retaining guest relations and mentoring team members to support superior guest service.
• Collect and remove trash; clean carpeted areas; remove gum and carpet spots; vacuum upholstered furnishings and fabric; reposition furniture and equipment after cleaning.
• Sweep, dust mop, and wet mop hard surface floors.
• Clean and dust surfaces including walls, doors, hardware, games, furnishings, door glass, display cases, and other relevant areas.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize restroom fixtures and restroom surfaces.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors and all other team members of the property and comply with department procedures and schedules.
• Observe and report needed maintenance to buildings, fixtures, and equipment; report loss, damage, breakage of property, or any threat to safety.
• Assist in emergency clean-ups and provide coverage for absences.
• Attend and participate in meetings and perform work regularly and predictably.
• Maintain cleaning and sanitizing for both work areas and public spaces.
• Attend seminars when needed and complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Obtain and maintain valid licenses or certifications in accordance with Federal, State and Virginia Lottery regulations.
• Successfully pass a background check.
• Successfully pass drug screening.
• Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Be able to work holidays and weekends, including flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools and testing equipment.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Perform janitorial duties and routine use of powered cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed and communicate effectively with employees and guests.
• Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
• Handle potentially hazardous cleaning chemicals and wastes using strict adherence to the supervisor’s safety instructions and compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

Education and Experience

• Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.
• Typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training or through related janitorial experience.

Pay and Location

• Location: Bristol, VA (onsite)
• Job Type: Part time
• Pay Range: $14 - $19 per hour
