Executive Housekeeper
Job Description
The Executive Housekeeper partners with the General Manager to oversee daily Housekeeping and Laundry operations at Beechwood Hotel Group, LLC in Green Bay, WI (onsite).
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, friendly, courteous, service-oriented interactions with guests and employees during all encounters.
- Maintain consistent regular attendance in accordance with hotel scheduling needs.
- Maintain professional personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag per brand standards.
- Direct and monitor all Housekeeping, Houseman, and Laundry personnel.
- Inspect all rooms daily to ensure quality standards.
- Create housekeeping, houseman, and laundry schedules; General Manager approves schedules weekly.
- Nightly balance and clear room status by comparing the PM Housekeeping Report with the computer room status report, then resolve discrepancies.
- Train Housekeeping personnel to perform duties to established standards.
- Ensure employees remain attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and coworkers.
- Order departmental supplies while staying within the budget provided by the General Manager.
- Complete monthly inventories of department supplies and guest supplies.
- Participate in hiring activities: conduct interviews for open positions.
- Handle personnel matters including employee complaints and grievances, discipline, and employee appraisals.
- Lead daily morning meetings with staff.
- Conduct daily walk-throughs with the General Manager and Property Engineer.
Requirements
- Ability to supervise and manage Housekeeping, Houseman, and Laundry personnel.
- Strong focus on daily room inspections and maintaining room standards.
- Experience coordinating schedules for housekeeping, houseman, and laundry (with weekly GM approval).
- Ability to reconcile nightly room status by comparing PM reports with computer room status and correcting discrepancies.
- Proven training skills to bring Housekeeping personnel to standards.
- Comfort managing employee relations, including interviews, complaints/grievances, discipline, and appraisals.
- Consistent attendance aligned with the hotel’s scheduling needs.
- Professional grooming and uniform/name tag compliance per brand standards.
Compensation
- USD 42,000 - 45,000 per year
