Job Description

At Margaritaville Hotel Nashville, cleanliness is more than a task. It is part of how guests experience comfort the moment they arrive. As Executive Housekeeper, you will lead the daily operation of the Housekeeping department onsite in Nashville, TN, helping ensure guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry are clean, comfortable, and ready for every stay. This is a hands-on leadership role with room to set standards, coach your team, and coordinate with other departments to keep operations running smoothly.

What you will do

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping department while creating a positive, supportive, team-focused environment.
  • Set the tone for exceptional housekeeping standards and take pride in ensuring the hotel looks and feels its best.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop Housekeeping team members, helping them build the skills and confidence needed to succeed.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, schedule, coach, recognize, and develop team members in line with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, guest floors, lobbies, restrooms, restaurant and bar areas, linen rooms, and Housekeeping workspaces to maintain consistent cleanliness and presentation.
  • Inspect VIP rooms and special arrival rooms to ensure they are guest-ready and meet hotel standards.
  • Monitor guest feedback and respond promptly to housekeeping-related concerns, requests, and service recovery opportunities.
  • Follow through on guest complaints and requests to ensure issues are resolved and follow-up is provided.
  • Partner with Front Office, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and other departments to coordinate guest needs and support smooth hotel operations.
  • Work with the General Manager and Chief Engineer on repairs, preventative maintenance, and property improvement projects related to guestrooms and public areas.
  • Monitor staffing levels, schedules, productivity, and payroll to ensure appropriate coverage while managing labor costs.
  • Manage the department within established budget guidelines and prepare forecasts, budgets, reports, and action plans as needed.
  • Maintain inventory levels of linens, cleaning supplies, guestroom amenities, uniforms, and equipment, and order/receive supplies while managing costs.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts, including month-end inventories, and maintain accurate records for internal audit and operational standards.
  • Oversee the Lost & Found program, ensuring items are documented, secured, and handled according to hotel procedures.
  • Establish and maintain effective housekeeping safety practices, report unsafe conditions and maintenance concerns promptly, and follow through to resolution.
  • Run departmental meetings and participate in hotel meetings as needed; conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and recognition.
  • Step in to perform essential functions of Housekeeping positions when needed, including cross-training and supporting during busy periods.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by hotel leadership.

What you bring

  • At least 2 years of housekeeping management or supervisory experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • A hotel management degree or equivalent hospitality experience (preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate, coach, and develop a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, scheduling, productivity, inventories, and labor management.
  • Ability to handle guest concerns confidently, find solutions, and maintain a service-focused attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness and presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with guests, team members, hotel leadership, and other departments.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills.
  • High school-level mathematical skills required.
  • Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is a must.

Compensation and incentive opportunity

Salary: USD 60,000 - 70,000 per year.

Annual incentive bonus: Eligible to participate in the hotel’s annual incentive program with an opportunity to earn a bonus of up to 25% of annual base salary, based on applicable program guidelines and individual/property performance.
