Experienced Veterinary Surgical Technician

Montrose Animal Hospital and Pet Hotel in Marietta, GA is hiring an experienced Veterinary Surgical Technician to support a busy small animal practice. This onsite, full-time role is centered on dependable patient care and smooth coordination during surgical and related appointment workflows.

In this position, you will help keep procedures moving efficiently while supporting anesthesia, dental care, radiology, and key prep work. The practice is fast-paced, so strong multitasking, clear patient flow, and effective delegation are important to everyday success.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor anesthesia
• Use experience with intubation
• Perform dental procedures and take radiographs
• Draw blood and place intravenous catheters
• Multitask efficiently during fast-paced shifts
• Maintain a smooth, fast patient workflow
• Delegate to doctors and staff to help with time management

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of surgical technician experience (RVT/LVT/CVT preferred)
• Proficiency in blood draws
• Experience with catheter placement
• Background in anesthesia induction and monitoring
• Ability to calculate drug dosages for pre-medications and induction
• Ability to perform dental prophylaxis
• Experience performing radiology
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to exceptional patient care
• Ability to establish and prioritize patient flow
• Comfort delegating to team members to improve efficiency and time management
• Exceptional multitasking skills
• Dependable team-player attitude
