Hotel Housekeeper

Garner Hotel in Londonderry, NH is seeking a Hotel Housekeeper to help keep every area of the property fresh, clean, and ready for guests. This onsite role focuses on delivering consistent cleanliness in guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, supporting comfortable, safe, and memorable stays. Weekend work is a must.

As part of the hospitality team, you will perform room and area cleaning to hotel standards, support efficient room turnover, and help maintain a welcoming environment through careful inspections and proper use of janitorial equipment. Pay for this position is $14.00 to $16.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to hotel standards.
• Change linens, make beds, and replenish amenities to support guest comfort.
• Complete floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning.
• Remove trash and restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products.
• Perform routine inspections of assigned areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
• Follow established cleaning procedures using appropriate janitorial equipment and industrial cleaning tools.
• Collaborate with team members and management to support efficient room turnover and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques, including carpet cleaning and floor polishing.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and janitorial best practices.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues promptly.
• Previous hotel or industrial cleaning experience is a plus; management experience in housekeeping is advantageous.
