Hotel Housekeeper

SLEEPINN HOTEL in Wilson, NC is hiring a Hotel Housekeeper to help keep guest rooms and shared spaces clean, sanitized, and welcoming. This onsite role focuses on quality housekeeping, safe use of cleaning products, and accurate documentation to support smooth operations for the hotel and its guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms thoroughly, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, changing linens, and sanitizing surfaces for a pristine environment.
• Maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces regularly.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely, following Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to reduce the risk of accidents or contamination.
• Support tasks that may involve heavy lifting of supplies or furniture while following manual handling safety protocols.
• Restock guest room and public area amenities, including toiletries, towels, and linens, to meet guest comfort expectations.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards consistently to help protect guests and staff.
• Keep detailed records of cleaning activities, report maintenance concerns promptly, and follow housekeeping management policy requirements.

Requirements

• Availability on weekends is required.
• Hotel experience: 1 year (required).
• Security clearance: Confidential (required).
• Ability to commute to Wilson, NC 27896 (required).
• Ability to complete physical tasks, including heavy lifting, manual handling of cleaning supplies, and prolonged standing or walking during shifts.
• Strong customer service skills for professional interaction with guests and team members.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures to stay prepared and maintain a safe environment.

Experience & Skills

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a hospitality or industrial cleaning environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and chemical handling for different surfaces is advantageous.
• Experience using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners is beneficial.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and safety protocols helps support success in the role.

Work Schedule, Location, and Pay

• Work location: In person (onsite), Wilson, NC
• Expected hours: No less than 10.0 hours per week
• Pay: From $8.00 per hour
