Hotel Housekeeper

BRIGGS HOUZE HOTEL in Detroit, MI is hiring dependable Hotel Housekeepers to clean guest rooms and assigned public areas onsite.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms in line with hotel standards
• Make beds and replace linens and towels
• Clean bathrooms and kitchen surfaces, including appliances, furniture, fixtures, and hardwood floors
• Dust, sweep, mop, remove trash, and restock guest-room supplies
• Clean assigned public areas such as hallways, lobbies, and restrooms
• Organize and maintain housekeeping carts, supplies, and equipment
• Use cleaning chemicals safely by following product labels and hotel procedures
• Report maintenance problems, damages, safety concerns, and lost items promptly
• Update room status and complete daily cleaning assignments accurately
• Protect guest privacy and follow all hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures

Requirements

• Previous hotel housekeeping, janitorial, or professional cleaning experience is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
• Dependable and punctual, able to complete assigned rooms within required timeframes
• Ability to work independently and also collaborate with the housekeeping team
• Friendly and professional communication with guests and coworkers
• Ability to follow instructions and safely use cleaning products and equipment
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; regularly bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry housekeeping supplies, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Availability for assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays when needed
