Hotel Housekeeper

Support a clean, welcoming guest experience on-site at Hotel Atlanta Downtown in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms and associated areas, including bathrooms, corridors, and public spaces, using proper techniques and the right equipment
• Use and handle cleaning agents and chemicals safely by following SDS (Safety Data Sheets) and hotel protocols
• Maintain flooring standards by vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping, and performing floor care as needed
• Complete heavy lifting tasks for moving furniture or supplies using correct manual handling methods
• Support sanitation and hygiene by disinfecting surfaces, removing trash, and meeting property cleanliness requirements
• Operate cleaning equipment effectively and safely, including vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners
• Follow hotel emergency procedures during incidents or safety concerns while prioritizing guest safety

Requirements

• Hotel housekeeper experience required; must be able to clean 2 rooms in under 1 hour as part of the interview process
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred
• Knowledge of floor cleaning, chemical handling, and sanitation practices
• Ability to use cleaning equipment safely and effectively with understanding of SDS
• Customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude toward guests and team members
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling, and stand for extended periods during shifts
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management procedures is advantageous
• Commitment to safety protocols, including emergency procedures and proper chemical handling practices

Pay

• $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected Hours

• 25.0 - 30.0 hours per week
