Hotel Room Attendant

Trumbull & Porter Boutique Hotel offers a distinctive stay in Detroit’s Corktown district, where attention to detail sets the guest experience apart. The Hotel Room Attendant role centers on delivering consistently clean, well-prepared rooms under enhanced cleaning guidelines, managing up to ten rooms per day with guidance from the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all assigned rooms in line with the property's enhanced cleaning program.
• Keep an up-to-date inventory of every item placed in guestrooms.
• Provide Front Desk with timely updates on the status of rooms that have been cleaned.
• Report any lost and found items to the Housekeeping Supervisor immediately, noting the room or area where the item was found.
• Notify Maintenance and the Housekeeping Supervisor about any damaged or missing items.
• Report unusual circumstances, such as a stayover with no luggage, sleep-outs, or room damage, to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Operations Manager.
• Use all authorized cleaning agents properly and safely.
• Follow key control procedures.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and communicate effectively with guests, clients, co-workers, and management.
• Follow proper handling procedures for dirty rags and linens.
• Restock and maintain the housekeeping cart.
• Assist guests with questions and requests.
• Adhere to grooming standards and the department’s dress code.
• Be capable of carrying out hotel emergency procedures.
• Perform other duties as directed or assigned.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
