House Person

The House Person role is an onsite position at the Aloft Sarasota, affiliated with Pyramid Hotel Group in Sarasota, Florida. This housekeeping support role maintains public areas and assists room attendants to ensure spaces are clean and guest-ready. The position offers a pay rate of $16 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests to ensure their satisfaction during the stay.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold the hotel cleanliness standard.
• Survey all assigned floors at the start and end of each shift to collect bags, trash, and soiled linen.
• Retrieve clean linens and restock the linen stock on each floor pantry.
• Deliver requested items to guest rooms, including towels, cribs, and cots.
• Perform duties of a room attendant when needed.
• Replenish guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry.
• Assist room attendants with heavy lifting during deep cleaning or turnovers.
• Clean all public areas following established procedures and standards.
• Remove soiled linen and trash from service areas and transport to designated locations.
• Maintain a consistently friendly and helpful attitude toward guests and colleagues.

Requirements

• Housekeeping experience is desirable.
• Neat, pleasant personality.
• Effective time management skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Physical capacity to move, reach, and maneuver to corners and high areas; observe conditions and odors; and operate carts up to 100 lbs in tight spaces, using equipment such as spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
• Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs.
