House Attendant

Join The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park in El Paso, TX (onsite) as a House Attendant. This role supports a welcoming guest experience by keeping public spaces clean, organized, and aligned with brand service and sustainability expectations, including HHM’s EarthView program.

What you’ll do

• Greet and acknowledge guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
• Inspect assigned areas and complete cleaning tasks based on established standards.
• Collect trash from service landings and dispose of it in outside trash dumpsters.
• Vacuum and dust guest corridors to maintain an inviting atmosphere.
• Pick up bed and other linen from hotel floors, transport it to the laundry collection site, and deliver clean linen to assigned sections.
• Report maintenance issues you observe while working.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest areas throughout your shift.
• Respond to guest inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
• Step in as a room attendant during staffing shortages or peak periods.
• Stay aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward improving departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices tied to HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, including wearing protective safety equipment and following MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction and perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma (preferred).
• Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training preferred.

Schedule and physical demands

Your work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. The role requires standing for extended periods and includes walking, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 25 pounds, reaching, bending, and kneeling to access all areas.

You will also use cleaning chemicals as part of daily cleaning tasks.
