Housekeeper
Job Description
Provide clean, fully stocked rooms for guest check-in while maintaining guest-ready spaces to brand and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Clean and stock assigned guest rooms, including changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, stocking supplies, and emptying trash
- Hand wash wall and floor tiles, toilets, tubs, and sink fixtures
- Complete laundry duties as needed, including moving linen to storerooms if required
- Assist with washing, drying, folding, and stocking laundry
- Perform daily required cleaning for public areas
- Maintain cleanliness for both interior and exterior public spaces
- Support quarterly and deep cleaning tasks and maintain the required logs
- Report status of rooms cleaned in a timely manner
- Stock the room attendant cart with full supplies at the end of each day
- Empty and clean the vacuum cleaner at the end of the day
- Turn in all lost and found items and follow lost and found procedures (bag, tag, and hold for 90 days)
- Work closely with supervisors and the maintenance team to report maintenance or repair needs
- Report any employee injury to your supervisor immediately
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
- Exhibit courteous conduct with guests
- Assist with lifting and moving furniture and equipment (with assistance)
- Flip or rotate mattresses with assistance
- Complete additional tasks assigned by the General Manager
Requirements
- Neat, well-groomed appearance
- Wear the appropriate company uniform, including a name tag
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods, including use of stairs
- Ability to stoop, bend, and reach objects above head and below knees
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to move, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 lbs. without assistance
Purpose of Position
- Provide clean and fully supplied rooms for guests at check-in
Accountability
- Clean rooms within established goals per room
- Follow state and federal guidelines, including OSHA Hazardous Communication Training
- Follow all brand standards
- Maintain a high level of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness
