Housekeeping Attendant

At Avid hotel by IHG, housekeeping is central to the guest experience. In this onsite role in Summerville, SC, you will help keep guest rooms, shared spaces, and hotel facilities clean, organized, and welcoming through consistent, high-standard cleaning routines.

As a Housekeeping Attendant, your work will focus on cleanliness and order while supporting safe operations. You will complete room and area cleaning, manage floor care, handle laundry services, restock supplies, and promptly flag maintenance issues that need attention, all while following established sanitizing procedures.

What you’ll do

• Clean guest rooms, common areas, and facilities to maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Complete floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces.
• Support laundry services including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels.
• Restock supplies as needed, including toiletries, linens, and cleaning materials.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing to meet health regulation requirements.
• Assist with special projects or deep cleaning tasks assigned by management.

What we’re looking for

• A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial roles is preferred; hotel experience is a plus.
• Beneficial familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and janitorial practices.
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• A demonstrated commitment to exceptional service and maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Experience

• Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial roles is preferred; hotel experience is a plus.

Compensation and benefits

Pay: USD 14 - 17 per hour.
