Housekeeping Manager
Job Description
Joinery Hotel Pittsburgh, Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to oversee daily housekeeping operations with a focus on guest service, quality, and sustainability. In this onsite role in Pittsburgh, PA, you will lead the team that maintains clean, safe, and welcoming spaces while supporting department goals and brand standards.
What you’ll do
- Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support housekeeping associates to ensure work aligns with established brand or hotel standards and HHM core values.
- Observe and monitor associate performance to help ensure efficient operations and adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and grounds for cleanliness, appearance, and safety.
- Respond to guest inquiries related to hotel policies and services, and resolve guests’ complaints and concerns.
- Create schedules based on occupancy, then assign duties to associates.
- Take inventory and submit periodic inventory orders to support timely supply purchasing.
- Complete required paperwork related to departmental functions.
- Monitor and communicate guest service scores to support improvement and higher guest satisfaction.
- Follow HHM internal audit standards related to key control and risk management areas, including lost and found, key control, and guest room safety.
- Maintain departmental expenses in line with the budget described by the General Manager.
- Ensure compliance with specific brand standards.
- Support sustainability through compliance with HHM’s EarthView program guidelines and practices.
- Practice safe work habits by following MSDS and OSHA standards, wearing protective safety equipment, and participating in safety committees as directed.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- 1 year of previous housekeeping supervisor experience (required).

Work schedule and physical requirements
- Work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, push, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend and reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed.
