Housekeeping Supervisor

At Provo Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, this onsite Housekeeping Supervisor role supports daily cleanliness and room readiness across the property. You will assist with cleaning operations while also coordinating training, room assignments, and inspections to help ensure guest areas are maintained to standard.

In addition to overseeing housekeeping team members, you will step in to clean and sanitize as needed and manage core housekeeping procedures, including room checks and scheduling. The role also includes transporting supplies and completing a wide range of sanitation-focused cleaning tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning, training, assigning, inspecting rooms, and scheduling.
• Oversee housekeepers, house persons, and lobby attendants.
• Handle opening house procedures, including assigning rooms, inspecting rooms and public areas, and scheduling.
• Perform general cleaning and sanitizing tasks across assigned areas of the property.
• Use a cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen and dining areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, and pans.
• Wipe and dust surfaces in rooms, and clean mirrors.
• Vacuum and clean floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes.
• Remove linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets.
• Place and neatly tuck clean sheets and blankets on beds and replace pillowcases.
• Stock towels, washcloths, and hand towels in bathrooms.
• Pick up and empty trash containers.
• Load washers and dryers and fold sheets and towels in the laundry room as needed.
• In commercial property areas, notify maintenance if something is not working properly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of residents, tenants, and/or guests.
• Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
• Education sufficient to read, write, and speak as needed for the job.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times.
