Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate equipment and methods to achieve high sanitation standards
• Handle cleaning agents safely, following safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols
• Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and heavy-duty cleaning to maintain appearance and sanitation
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture, supplies, or equipment while observing manual handling safety procedures
• Sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, and other designated areas in line with hotel housekeeping standards
• Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use; report any malfunctions or needed repairs
• Adhere to hotel emergency procedures and respond promptly to safety or sanitation issues

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial roles within hospitality environments
• Solid knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and janitorial best practices
• Proficiency in handling chemical agents safely during cleaning operations
• Skilled in operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly approach toward guests and team members
• Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, manual handling, and extended periods of standing or walking
• Familiarity with safety protocols including SDS, hotel emergency procedures, and hazard prevention measures
