Houseperson

This seasonal full-time Houseperson position at Hotel Versey Chicago Lincoln Park in Chicago, IL onsite supports housekeeping by delivering supplies, maintaining public areas, and assisting with guest requests through December.

Responsibilities

• Support Room Attendants by delivering linens, towels, guest amenities, and essential housekeeping supplies.
• Clean and upkeep public spaces, corridors, elevators, stairwells, and back-of-house areas.
• Collect and remove trash, soiled linens, and recyclables from throughout the property.
• Restock housekeeping closets and monitor inventory levels of supplies.
• Respond quickly to guest requests and housekeeping service calls.
• Assist with furniture repositioning, room setup, and specialized cleaning tasks.
• Notify management of maintenance needs, safety concerns, or damaged items.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards across the hotel.
• Collaborate with the housekeeping team and other departments to ensure a smooth guest experience.
• Support service elevator operations by transporting guests to their requested floors.

Requirements

• Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout a shift.
• Strong attention to detail and solid organizational abilities.
• Reliable and punctual, able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule required, including mornings and evenings until 9:00 PM, with weekend and holiday shifts as needed.
