Houseperson

Part Time Houseperson roles are available in Kittery, ME, supporting the daily cleanliness of guest areas and hotel grounds. This onsite position at Hampton Inn & Suites Kittery includes basic housekeeping, moving and setup tasks, and guest-facing interactions while upholding hotel standards.

Location and Employment Details

• Location: Kittery, ME (onsite)
• Job Type: Part time
• Work Schedule: 10-29-hour shifts; flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and scheduled days/times that may vary based on need

Compensation

• Pay: USD 18 per hourly

Key Responsibilities

• Complete basic housekeeping duties for all public spaces, including vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal
• Report and return any guest properties left behind
• Report cases of property damage to a supervisor
• Collaborate with a team of housekeepers on each shift
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
• Work with other staff to help ensure all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest needs
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management

Required Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience
• Continuous standing for approximately 90% of the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (limited)
• Ability to push up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work independently
• Friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language

Preferred Skills and Additional Qualities

• Previous houseperson experience preferred (but not required)
• Previous customer-facing experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Second language is a plus
