This Houseperson role supports the Housekeeping department by keeping storerooms, back-of-house areas, and key supply spaces clean, organized, and ready for use. Compensation: USD 15 per hourly
Location: Columbus, OH (onsite)

What you’ll do

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storeroom shelves and supply storage areas so supplies are easy to find and retrieval stays efficient.
• Clean and organize back-of-house areas, including doors, walls, closets, lockers, refreshment areas, and fixtures.
• Support cleanliness of public spaces when needed, including guest corridors, lobby areas, public restrooms, and exterior spaces.
• Retrieve and properly dispose of trash from guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
• When necessary, take ownership to help resolve guest challenges in collaboration with the hotel’s Housekeeping and Guest Service teams.
• Maintain professionalism aligned with the hotel brand and company expectations.
• Know and communicate hotel emergency procedures, and inform and assist guests during emergencies.
• Complete additional assigned tasks by hotel leadership as needed.

What you bring

• Open availability for the earliest start time of 8AM, with the ability to stay through the end of the shift (out time varies).
• Available for full time, first shift coverage (typically, but not always, as early as 8AM or late as 6PM).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in the primary language used in the workplace.
• Ability to work 8+ hours per day with frequent standing and walking.
• Ability to lift, lower, and maneuver up to 100 pounds frequently.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and pivot frequently throughout the workday.
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred.

About the role: House Persons support the overall functionality of the hotel Housekeeping department by ensuring supplies and equipment are available and accessible and by maintaining cleanliness and organization in storerooms and back-of-house areas. They also assist with trash removal, linen retrieval and sorting, and help create clean, organized spaces that support effective housekeeping operations.
