Job Description

The HR Manager will lead the corporate human resources function in Overland Park, KS, guiding talent strategy, leadership development, compliance, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and HR operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR guidance as a member of the leadership team.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and drive ongoing improvement.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform business decisions.
  • Serve as the primary advisor on employee relations matters.
  • Coach managers on performance management, investigations, coaching, disciplinary steps, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct workplace investigations with consistency and legal compliance.
  • Foster a positive, engaging, and high-performance culture.
  • Develop strategies to attract top talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers to improve hiring quality and speed.
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Coach leaders on effective management practices.
  • Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
  • Promote accountability across the organization.
  • Oversee compensation programs including bonus and incentive plans.
  • Collaborate with benefits vendors and brokers to maintain competitive offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with benefit regulations.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and HR best practices.
  • Maintain data integrity and accurate HR reporting.
  • Improve HR processes through automation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain the employee handbook and HR policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations.
  • Strong employee relations and investigations experience.
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance.
  • Excellent coaching and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP.
