Job Description

At Crosby Hotel LLC, the Housekeeping team depends on reliable support behind the scenes. As a Linen Porter/Houseman onsite in New York, NY, you’ll help keep the hotel operating at a five-star standard by maintaining linen and toiletry readiness, supporting room readiness, and responding to guest and team needs with care.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain linen and toiletry stock across all linen closets, including receiving and storing incoming deliveries.
  • Support Room Attendants by helping keep guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces clean, well-prepared, and hazard-free.
  • Deliver extra beds, cots, and other guest requests promptly and courteously.
  • Sort and prepare soiled linen for collection by the laundry partner.
  • Complete deep-cleaning projects such as high dusting, carpet and upholstery shampooing, and seasonal spring cleaning.
  • Move furniture as needed, comfortably lifting up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 60 lbs occasionally.
  • Keep corridors, stairways, and all public and working areas clean, tidy, and safe.
  • Respond promptly to pages and guest requests, communicating clearly with the housekeeping team throughout each shift.
  • Safeguard any assigned guest room keys and pagers, and report lost property, damages, or maintenance issues immediately.
  • Follow all health, safety, and fire procedures, including Do Not Disturb protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and a high standard of personal hygiene and presentation.
