Job Description

Oversee daily operations for the Count Team while supporting training, compliance, and coordination across the casino.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Count Team’s daily department operations
  • Lead training and ongoing development for both supervisory and non-supervisory personnel
  • Coordinate Count Room activities to ensure integrity of the drop and count
  • Maintain compliance with the Minimum Internal Control Standards required by the Gaming Control Board
  • Manage and participate in Count Room functions, including oversight of drop and count processes
  • Interview applicants for supervisory and non-supervisory Count Team roles
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide actionable, constructive feedback to staff
  • Address employee concerns in a calm, fair, and effective manner
  • Communicate Count Team department issues to the Executive Director of Casino Finance
  • Analyze problems and work toward practical solutions
  • Establish and maintain effective working rapport with Main Cage, Slots, Tables Games, and Revenue Audit to resolve issues as they arise
  • Maintain confidentiality of departmental information
  • Create and sustain a positive workplace focused on teamwork, performance, feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction
  • Create and implement department policies and procedures
  • Order department supplies and coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to attend meetings outside of normal department hours
  • Perform other duties as needed for the success of the department

Requirements

  • Previous management or supervisory experience required
  • Two (2) years of Count Team experience required
  • Knowledge of regulations and laws related to hiring and maintaining a positive, professional work environment
  • Ability to conduct mathematical transactions quickly and accurately
  • Strong commitment to maintaining a good attendance record
  • Demonstrated work ethic that supports team spirit and respect from team members
  • Ability to work in a structured, organized, and highly regulated environment
  • Proficiency with a computer and ten-key calculator quickly and accurately
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, a Gaming Registration
