Job Description

The Night Audit Hotel Agent manages overnight front desk operations, completes daily auditing tasks, and supports consistent guest service throughout the shift at Radisson Hotel Grand Rapids Riverfront.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee nightly operations and perform required front desk agent tasks, including check-in and check-out.
  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival; register guests into the computer by verifying reservation, address, and credit information.
  • Record, process, and analyze the day’s closing figures.
  • Complete required reports and ensure day credit transactions are in balance.
  • Handle guest needs including registration, checkout, cashiering, and wake-up calls, and provide wake-up call requests as needed.
  • Answer and route calls appropriately; transfer calls and take guest messages with accuracy.
  • Maintain responsibility for cash drawer contents and transactions during the shift, including cash transaction handling and drawer balancing.
  • Maintain accurate records, including cash flows, registration cards, reservation cards, and property walks.
  • Record pertinent guest information in the pass on the log and communicate with hotel staff on the status of guest rooms.
  • Promote the Loyalty Program and provide recognition and benefits to present members.
  • Handle confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.
  • Adhere to Radisson and management standards, and ensure security protocols and departmental procedures are followed.
  • Promptly and effectively address guest requests and complaints.
  • Provide information related to hotel services, guest registration, and travel directions; maintain a working knowledge of the local and regional area.
  • Assist with sales and marketing efforts as directed by the General Manager.
  • Correctly maintain and balance Market inventory.
  • Ensure Front Office quality standards are complied with and policies and procedures are consistently applied.
  • Perform audit procedures as set forth by the Hotel on a daily basis.
  • Maintain all nightly reports, including morning reports to inform hotel management of overnight activities and incidents.
  • Follow emergency related procedures and protocols; use sound judgement and alert hotel management immediately to life/safety issues and emergency situations.
  • Support overnight operational needs as assigned, including:
    • May assist in replenishing continental breakfast and keeping the breakfast area clean.
    • Ensure common area/lobby cleanliness.
    • Perform laundry functions as directed.
    • Any other duties required to ensure smooth overnight operations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Ability to present and express ideas clearly and concisely, orally or in writing, to the appropriate audience.
  • Skill in using computers and related software applications.
  • Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, including being at work and on time.
  • May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours; schedules may vary based on business need.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience: 1 year
  • Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
