Night Auditor
Job Description
The Night Auditor role at Wilderness Hotel and Resort Inc is a 3rd shift position focused on guest services and the completion of nightly hotel audit tasks. The position supports smooth operations through guest check-in and check-out processes, account review, and coordination with hotel teams as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow and complete all Night Audit procedures as outlined in the procedure manual.
- Provide superior guest services in line with Guest Services training.
- Greet arriving guests, register them, and assign rooms.
- Verify credit card details, determine the guest payment method for accommodations, and, when needed, obtain a deposit and a copy of guest I.D.
- Maintain accurate records of room availability and guests’ accounts, using either manual methods or computers.
- Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
- Complete simple booking activities, including balancing cash accounts.
- Issue room keys and direct guests to their rooms.
- Review guest accounts and chargers during the check-out process.
- Post charges for rooms, food & beverage, and all other miscellaneous charges.
- Transmit and receive messages using telephone, cell phone, or radio.
- Contact appropriate departments when guests have special requests, requirements, or needs.
- Maintain responsibility for cash banks.
- Communicate with guests and other managers to support coordinated hotel activities.
- Monitor the alarm panel and dispatch alerts to security, emergency personnel, and on-call management as necessary.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
