Overnight Houseperson

Fairlane Hotel in Nashville, TN, onsite, relies on a dedicated overnight team to keep the property clean, organized, and guest-ready during the quieter hours. As an Overnight Houseperson, you will stock and prepare housekeeping carts for the morning shift, organize storage spaces, and support guest rooms through the night, with a part-time schedule and a pay range of $16 to $20 per hour.

Position Summary

The Overnight Houseperson role at Fairlane Hotel is centered on maintaining overnight cleanliness, organization, and readiness, with a focus on stocking and prepping carts, storage areas, and supplies for the next day’s operation. This position mirrors the core cleaning and guest-support duties of the daytime Houseperson, but places additional emphasis on overnight stocking and preparation.

Responsibilities

• Stock and prepare housekeeping carts with linens, amenities, and supplies for the morning shift.
• Organize and restock storage rooms and floor closets to enable Room Attendants to begin promptly.
• Conduct inventory checks on linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies, flagging shortages.
• Carry out overnight deep-cleaning projects in public areas, elevators, and light fixtures.
• Strip linens and trash from vacant rooms and prepare rooms for next day’s servicing.
• Deliver housekeeping items to guest rooms upon overnight request.
• Respond promptly and discreetly to guest requests during overnight hours.
• Receive assignments, keys, and a radio from the overnight supervisor or Manager on Duty.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and lost and found items immediately.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all safety and security protocols.
• Communicate clearly with the morning housekeeping team during shift handovers.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently or with a small team during low occupancy hours.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods overnight; lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
