Overnight Laundry Aide / Houseperson

Colonial Hotel in Gardner, MA is hiring a dependable Overnight Laundry Aide / Houseperson to keep the hotel’s laundry running smoothly and support overnight housekeeping operations. In this onsite role, you will work independently during overnight hours while helping maintain a clean, well-stocked property for guests.

What you’ll do

• Independently operate commercial washers and dryers.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens and towels correctly.
• Keep the laundry area organized and clean throughout your shift.
• Restock linen closets and housekeeping supplies as needed.
• Assist the housekeeping team with general overnight cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
• Clean and maintain common areas, hallways, entrances, and other assigned hotel spaces.
• Remove trash and help maintain cleanliness across the property.
• Support hotel operations with light cleaning and other assigned duties.
• Respond to overnight housekeeping needs and guest requests in a courteous, professional manner.
• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, damaged equipment, or other problems to management.
• Follow hotel cleanliness, safety, and security procedures.
• Stay productive overnight and keep pace with limited supervision.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by hotel management.

What you bring

• Previous hotel, housekeeping, laundry, custodial, or cleaning experience is preferred, but not required.
• Dependability and punctuality, with the ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull laundry bags, linens, supplies, and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical cleaning duties.
• Comfort working overnight and maintaining a consistent pace with limited supervision.
• Friendly, professional attitude with guests and coworkers.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to lift 100 Lbs.

Schedule and shift availability

• Overnight shift (schedule and hours discussed during the interview).
• Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
• Night Shift: Required
• Day Shift: Preferred

Pay

• From $18.00 per hour
