PM Houseperson- Holiday Inn Express

Merete Hotel Management is seeking a PM Houseperson for the Holiday Inn Express in Springfield, OR (onsite). In this role you will support Front Desk and Housekeeping with guest services and keep hallways, restrooms, meeting rooms, and other public spaces clean and welcoming. Responsibilities

• Keep hallways and public areas clean and well vacuumed.
• Stock linen closets with fresh linen supplies.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Notify management of damage, vandalism, or missing hotel property.
• Communicate guest requests and issues to your supervisor.
• Provide guests with requested items such as baby cribs, rollaway beds, microwaves, or refrigerators.
• Retrieve soiled linen from housekeeping carts and manage trash on carts.
• Move furniture and assist with mattress rotation as needed.
• Set up and dismantle meeting rooms for events and conferences.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Treat others with respect and contribute to a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment.

Requirements

• Physically able to perform cleaning duties.
• Lifts and carries an average of 30 lbs frequently, with maximum loads up to 50 lbs.
• Stands and walks up to about two miles per day across multiple floor surfaces.
• Occasional overhead reaching to retrieve items.
• Frequently pushes and pulls about 50 lbs, with maximum loads up to 150 lbs.
• Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.
• Strong customer service skills are required.
• Criminal background check is required.
• Adheres to the hotel safety standards and procedures, including use of hearing, eye, and hand protection for equipment operation.

Working Conditions

Exposure to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold and heat, dust, and noise. Must follow the hotel's safety standards and use required hearing, eye, and hand protection when operating equipment.
