Room Attendant - Housekeeper

Join the housekeeping team onsite in Washington, DC to keep guest rooms clean, comfortable, and aligned with established standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm, friendly greeting when interacting.
• Clean assigned guest rooms to meet standards within the required time frame, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Replace bed linens and refresh towels and other amenities.
• Dust and clean surfaces, then clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Identify room issues and notify management when repairs are needed.
• Handle items left behind in rooms by following the hotel lost and found policy.
• Use safe work habits, wear required protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Step in to perform house person and lobby attendant duties when the team is short staffed or during peak periods.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores and support efforts to improve departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction through consistent room readiness.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English.
