Room Attendant

As a Room Attendant at SHERATON DALLAS HOTEL BY THE GALLERIA in Dallas, TX (onsite), you will clean and maintain assigned guest room areas to meet company procedures and standards. You will also help uphold a safe, organized environment by following safety and security rules, maintaining cleanliness in corridors and service areas, and communicating any hazards or damages you observe.

Responsibilities

• Stock the housekeeping bag with the cleaning supplies, equipment, and amenities needed to properly clean each room.
• Follow proper knocking procedures when entering a guest room.
• Clean the assigned guest rooms according to standards.
• Ensure amenities are stocked for every cleaned room.
• Complete the full housekeeping checklist.
• Mark rooms as clean for supervisor inspection accurately.
• Report damages or hazards found in guest rooms (for example, burned-out light bulbs, broken furniture, or broken lights) to the appropriate team member or coordinator.
• Secure guest room doors upon exiting.
• Maintain neat corridors and service areas at all times.
• Turn in all lost and found items and all guest room keys.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and security procedures.
• Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
• Use protective equipment and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, and any property damage or loss to management.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safety and security procedures and rules.
• Maintain a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance per team member handbook standards.
• Perform related duties as requested by management.
• Assist other Housekeeping Personnel when needed.

Requirements

• Bend and reach to dust, clean, and make beds and bathroom areas.
• Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods.
• Talk to many different people to provide information, answer questions, and deliver required services.
• Visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and to check for guest items left behind.
• Use written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork.
• Move fingers, arms, and hands quickly and easily to complete cleaning tasks.
