Rooms Coordinator
Job Description
Join Estancia La Jolla, A Noble House Hotel in La Jolla, CA (onsite) as a Rooms Coordinator focused on guest accommodation, room coordination, and professional service.
Responsibilities
- Apply the resort’s booking strategies to ensure each party is appropriately accommodated
- Coordinate room distribution and room status across departments including Front Office, Engineering, Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, and Revenue Management
- Register guests, provide room keys, and share pertinent information about amenities (Spa facilities, business center, and property events)
- Handle guest concerns with professional service to support high levels of guest confidence and satisfaction
- Look for opportunities to maximize revenue
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as Rooms Coordinator or equivalent experience and training desired
- Excellent customer service and communication skills for guest interactions and high guest satisfaction
- Basic computer skills to enter data and read and interpret information
- Strong attention to detail; ability to solve problems and remain calm and alert with difficult guests, during busy activity periods, or in an emergency situation
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to learn and use hotel computer systems
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts based on operational needs
- Experience in a hotel or resort environment
