Job Description
At The Vineta Hotel, this Seasonal Bell Person role supports a polished, guest-first experience across arrival, departure, transportation, and beach services. Working onsite in Palm Beach, FL, you will act as a visible hospitality ambassador, collaborating closely with the front desk and other departments to keep service smooth, safe, and consistently aligned with the property’s luxury standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, maintain, and break down beach umbrellas, lounge chairs, and related amenities, ensuring guests enjoy a pristine, luxurious beach experience.
- Operate the property house car to provide safe, courteous, and timely transportation for guests while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Keep the house car in immaculate condition and appearance to reflect the hotel’s luxury brand image.
- Park vehicles for guests and visitors who require valet parking, manage traffic flow to keep the front driveway congestion-free, monitor illegal parking, and store vehicles promptly.
- Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms efficiently and with care.
- Share information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions; answer inquiries and offer recommendations in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Deliver items such as room service orders, packages, and other guest requests promptly and with the appropriate service approach.
- Maintain the lobby and main entrance in a clean, organized state; report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
- Monitor the premises for unusual activity and report concerns to management to support guest safety and security.
- Collaborate with front desk hoteliers and other departments to ensure seamless guest service.
- Build rapport with guests by anticipating needs and supporting comfort throughout their stay.
- Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and ensure timely service.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and understanding to enhance guest interactions.
- Maintain high standards of Guest Services as established by the Managing Director.
- Support teamwork and safe work practices through open communication, respect, sincerity, helpfulness, courtesy, and humility.
- Follow proper procedures for guest illness or injury, system failures, fire alarms, robbery, security incidents, and other emergencies, reporting unsafe conditions as appropriate.
- Support morale and spirit by interacting positively with hoteliers and guests and taking action to resolve problems to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
- Maintain personal appearance and hygiene standards that set an example for the team and reflect a professional image for guests.
- Contribute to strategies and results by originating and inventing new ways to create unparalleled experiences for guests and team members.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of previous work experience in a similar capacity within the luxury hospitality industry.
- Valid Florida driver’s license required.
- Ability to operate both standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Fluent in English; other languages are considered an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand continuously and perform job functions during shift.
- Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, twist, bend, balance, lift, push, pull, and transport objects up to 75 lbs repeatedly during a shift.
- Ability to access and navigate each department within the organization’s facilities.
