Server

Part-time server role at Radisson Hotel, Nashville Airport (onsite in SeaTac, WA) supporting breakfast, corporate dinners, and banquet events.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tables properly before service
• Inspect linen, silver, china, and other items prior to use
• Take guest orders and offer recommendations for food and beverages
• Send beverage orders to bartenders
• Verify drinks have proper garnishes before serving
• Coordinate service flow with kitchen and other servers
• Serve food and beverages to guests and refill drinks as needed
• Remove dirty glasses, linens, and dishes from lounge areas
• Clear the lounge area during and after events
• Respond to guest requests and address concerns, including complaints
• Follow all relevant legal and company policies and beverage service guidelines
• Close out guest bills using cash and credit cards according to established procedures
• Handle guest problems by listening, apologizing with empathy, finding a solution, and following through
• Deliver genuine hospitality and teamwork through ongoing guest service
• Notice when a guest is not satisfied and apply best judgment to use 100% Guest Satisfaction standards
• Provide the Radisson experience by taking personal responsibility and using teamwork to exceed guest expectations
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management to support 100% guest satisfaction

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Two years of experience in a similar role within an upscale environment is preferred
• Basic skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic
• Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol
• Excellent customer service skills
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to relate effectively with guests at all levels and with management
• Strong team spirit
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
• Ability to maneuver up to 150 lbs occasionally for short periods
• Ability to push/pull carts weighing up to 200 lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, constantly
• Ability to set up and take down tables, chairs, stages, and other banquet meeting fixtures
