Surveillance Shift Supervisor
Job Description
Surveillance Shift Supervisor at Boyd Gaming Corporation, responsible for supervising surveillance staff on assigned shift, ensuring reports, logs and videotapes are maintained and that observations of irregular activities are reported to the Surveillance Director.
Location: Michigan City, IN (onsite)
Responsibilities
- Oversee department operations during the assigned shift to ensure all tasks align with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all department procedures and report deviations from Internal Controls or the Indiana Gaming Laws and Rules to the Surveillance Director.
- Schedule shift rosters to maintain staffing levels as required by IGC regulations.
- Inform the Surveillance Director of Lead Agent and Agent performance, activities, and development.
- Prepare and conduct employee performance evaluations after review and approval from the Surveillance Director.
- Keep the Surveillance Director informed of all pertinent information regarding department activities and any deviations or irregularities.
- Provide on-the-job training and conduct training classes as required.
- Conduct employee testing as required.
- Assist the Surveillance Director with the day-to-day operation of the department.
- Possess the ability to perform all duties of Lead Agents and Agents.
Requirements
- Broad knowledge of games, casino rules, procedures and administration; familiarity with the laws and regulations affecting the casino industry.
- Proficiency with camera equipment and the methods of operation and recording as required.
- Knowledge of cheating methods and related activities.
- Ability to identify cheating methods and other irregular activities.
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience in a casino surveillance department.
