Job Description

Legends Casino Hotel is seeking a seasoned Table Games Floor Lead to guide the busy gaming pit with a focus on operations, staff development, and guest service. This onsite role blends hands-on supervision with strict adherence to policy, regulatory standards, and asset protection, all in a dynamic casino floor environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional appearance and be reliable and punctual when reporting to work.
  • Manage the operations of the designated pit area.
  • Uphold all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws, and communicated expectations, including the Team Member Handbook, N.I.G.C. Regulations, Yakama Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Minimum Internal Controls, Departmental Procedures, and supervisory communications.
  • Open and close games in the assigned pit.
  • Handle pit accounting tasks and related administrative duties such as fills, credits, monetary transactions, shift changes, table win/loss, theoretical win calculations, and hold percentage calculations.
  • Safeguard all casino assets within the area, including equipment, cards, and dice.
  • Communicate Title 31 documentation generated during a shift to the Pit Supervisor.
  • Engage with players and dealers, addressing guest problems and inquiries courteously.
  • Stay aware of promotions and events and convey this information to team members and guests.
  • Explain and interpret game rules and betting limits to guests; encourage rated play and accurately input buy-ins, length of play, win/loss, and average bet.
  • Maintain effective communication with peers, surveillance, security, and guests; model respect, dignity, and integrity at all times.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate the Legends team to uphold game protection, service standards, and growth.
  • Counsel dealers on procedural questions to maintain game integrity and acknowledge good performance when appropriate.
  • Evaluate subordinates and complete performance appraisals as directed by the Pit Supervisor/Table Games Management.
  • Maintain environmental awareness and keep the pit area tidy and free from debris.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize tasks; foster relationships across departments to enhance guest experience.
  • Model a strong work ethic and be visible and accessible to guests and staff.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and efficiency.
  • Manage situations swiftly, explaining the rationale behind resolutions to guests.
  • Make informed judgments aligned with Legends Casino’s purpose, values, and objectives, leveraging research and experience.
  • Share guest feedback with executive management to drive continuous improvement.
  • Proactively pursue process improvements based on guest input and align actions with team strengths.

Requirements

  • Must obtain and hold a Class III gaming license while employed and complete an annual background check with TGA.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a Table Games dealer with knowledge, or the ability to obtain knowledge, of at least three core games (Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Pai Gow Poker or Ultimate Texas Hold’em); knowledge and dealing experience in all games strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of six months supervisory experience required (dual rate or higher).

Technologies

  • Patron Management programs; Microsoft Windows programs.

Supervision Exercised

Table Games Dealers.

License Required

Must obtain and hold a Class III gaming license while employed and complete an annual background check with TGA.

Knowledge and dealing experience in all games strongly preferred. Minimum of six months supervisory experience required (dual rate or higher).

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must have manual dexterity for operation of computer equipment and paperwork related to pit operations.
  • Position may require extended exposure to a tobacco smoke-filled environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Specific Skills/Knowledge/Abilities/Experience Required for Position

  • Knowledge of Minimum Internal Controls, game rules, and company policies; ability to read, analyze, and interpret relevant documents.
  • Strong mathematical ability and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to varying situations and make quick, fair, and methodical decisions.
  • Familiarity with Patron Management programs and Microsoft software.
