Banquet Set Up

As part of the banquet team at The Ray Hotel Delray Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton, this onsite role supports meetings and events by preparing spaces to the right standard and keeping them ready for guests. You will help ensure meeting rooms and ballrooms are set up, serviced, and returned to storage with care, including attention to guest expectations, cleaning routines, and sustainability guidelines.

This position involves moving event materials, responding to service needs during the event period, and following safe work practices aligned with MSDS and OSHA standards.

What You’ll Do

• Set up, break down, and service meeting rooms in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.
• Arrange meeting rooms based on banquet event order forms and related documents to ensure the set up matches guest expectations.
• Transport awkward and heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, and similar items from storage areas to meeting rooms safely, using proper equipment.
• Break down meeting rooms and return banquet items to storage closets in a neat and organized fashion.
• Maintain established cleaning schedules for meeting rooms and ballrooms so spaces remain presentable at all times.
• Respond to guest requests for service and room set up changes, and provide assistance with information requests related to other areas of the hotel.
• Handle guest complaints personally when appropriate, or seek assistance from a supervisor when needed.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

What You Bring

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience: Previous banquet set up or customer service experience (preferred).

Work Schedule and Physical Requirements

• Work schedule varies and includes alternate shifts, holidays, and weekends.
• Requires standing for extended periods and includes walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, pushing, kneeling, or crouching.
