Banquet Custodian II

Suncoast Hotel & Casino offers the chance to support smooth, guest-ready events in a fast-paced Las Vegas environment. In this role, you’ll help keep banquet spaces organized and prepared, contributing to a clean, safe, and hazard-free setting while ensuring event teams have the supplies and setup they need.

Responsibilities

• Complete banquet set-ups and breakdowns according to the BEO; dismantle equipment at the conclusion of each event.
• Deliver banquet bar supplies, including liquor and beer, from the banquet bar porter in a timely and efficient manner.
• Store and maintain banquet equipment and related items, including bars, carts, portable units, tables, chairs, and stanchions.
• Refresh meeting rooms as required to keep event spaces ready for use.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within your area of responsibility.
• Assist bartenders with stocking and with breakdown of beer, liquor, and other supplies.
• Deliver related supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of prior experience as a banquet porter is preferred.
• Knowledge of various banquet set-ups is strongly preferred, including classroom style, chevron, banquet, and reception.
• Forklift certification is beneficial.
• Must be able to read English.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to grasp, kneel, stoop, and bend on a regular basis.
• Must be able to obtain or maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
