Baquet Captain

At Fort Lauderdale Marriott Coral Springs Hotel & Conference Center, you will play a key role in delivering polished, on-time banquet experiences in Coral Springs, FL. As a Baquet Captain with Atrium Hospitality, you will lead event setup and breakdown, coordinate service flow, and support the team’s daily readiness from staging to audio-visual support.

This onsite position centers on teamwork, guest focus, and operational follow-through, with opportunities to assist in scheduling, training, and inventory to keep banquet service running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead setup and breakdown for banquet events with careful attention to presentation, including clean linens, polished silverware, and chip-free china.
• Coordinate service timing and guest flow to help ensure meals are served smoothly and on schedule.
• Guide and motivate the banquet team to deliver strong guest experiences across coffee breaks and full-service dinners.
• Manage audio-visual setup and troubleshooting as part tech support during event preparation and execution.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and inventory to support consistent banquet operations.

Requirements

• Customer service experience to support guest satisfaction.
• At least 6 months of banquet food service experience working in a banquet setting.
• Leadership potential or experience, including the ability to guide a team and step in as needed.
• Food and alcohol certifications or willingness to complete them within 90 days.
• Physical stamina for lifting, bending, walking, and standing throughout the shift.

Compensation

• $21.00 per hour
