Barista and Cashier

Join the team at Hotel Angeleno in Los Angeles, where this part-time, non-exempt Barista and Cashier role supports day-to-day café service for guests. You will help create a welcoming café experience by preparing drink orders to standards, maintaining the register and cash drawer, and keeping the café area clean, stocked, and ready for service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalized service to all café guests.
• Consistently prepare drink orders in accordance with established guidelines.
• Maintain the register and bank; complete daily cash drawer balancing.
• Engage guests with pleasant conversation and provide attentive support.
• Maintain an attractive, organized, and clean pastry display.
• Take inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day.
• Restock café merchandise, self-service food, and supplies as needed.
• Immediately wipe up spills, remove trash, and support a tidy work environment.
• Listen to and respond politely to guest requests or concerns.
• Clean and sanitize counters, floors, storage areas, equipment, and common areas as specified.
• Maintain regular attendance, be consistently on time, and follow required work, break, and meal periods.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with the dress code.
• Lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

• Food Handler Certification (preferred).
• RBS Certification (preferred).
