Job Description
A Bartender role in Winnemucca, NV at Stockmen's Hotel & Casino focuses on warm, personalized service, bar upkeep, compliance with alcohol laws, and strong teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized bar with proper setup of the pouring station and pars for all items.
- Recognize and prepare a variety of beverages accurately, adhere to recipes, use correct pouring portions and prices, and serve in proper glassware with appropriate wine service.
- Establish and follow precise cash handling procedures, including cash bank, cash register, and cash drop.
- Communicate to promote guest and co-worker relations, maintaining professionalism while coordinating with beverage, Slot, Stewarding, and Engineering departments.
- Operate and know the essential equipment such as Blender, Glasswasher, Beer Taps, and a pouring gun if available.
- Utilize cleaning supplies including stainless steel cleaner, glass cleaner, disinfectants, and all-purpose cleaners.
- Support and promote the company culture and demonstrate Service Standards at all times.
- Carry required work cards on your person during shifts.
- Maintain a positive, professional demeanor reflecting best practices of the company.
- Keep grooming and uniform standards in line with company policies.
- Know the location of the MSDS booklet and display knowledge of all emergency procedures.
- Address guest or team member opportunities to achieve the best possible outcome.
- Follow set schedules and defined job duties as assigned.
- Treat every team member with care, dignity, fairness, and respect, modeling best practices and encouraging teamwork.
- Demonstrate teamwork and communicate regularly with management to keep them informed of department activities.
- Adhere to policies and procedures set by the Director of Food and Beverage and the Food and Beverage Manager.
- Attend team member meetings and check communication boards for pertinent information.
- Collaborate closely with the beverage team, slots, security, and food and gaming departments to ensure seamless service.
- Prior experience in this position is preferred but not required.
- Place emphasis on speaking, visualizing, and listening to guests as a core part of the service.

Work Conditions
- Indoor and outdoor beverage service with potential exposure to hot, cold, noisy, or smoky environments.
- Work may occur in small areas with limited access (3-ft access).
- Tasks performed from a non-sitting position; standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
- Care and maintenance of an assigned area, including chemical usage.
- Constant contact with staff and guests; shift assignments.
Pay
$12.00 - $14.00 per hour
