Bartender- The Rail

Within Pyramid Hotel Group, the Brazos PTK restaurant in College Station, Texas is expanding its beverage program with a brand-new on-site bar. The Head Bartender will lead the bartending team, craft distinctive cocktails, and elevate the guest experience in an upscale setting. The position is onsite in College Station with an hourly rate of $12.

Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly beverage orders and stock replenishment.
• Help redesign and enhance the beverage menus.
• Lead training for all new bartenders.
• Support leadership in enforcing procedures and standards across the team.
• Maintain expertise on standard cocktails and the lounge bar's liquor and wine selections.
• Plan and maintain bar inventory par levels and place daily orders to keep stock current.
• Handle cash and bank procedures in line with Accounting Department guidelines.
• Conduct accurate bar inventories as required by leadership.
• Apply suggestive selling techniques during service.
• Keep all bar-related work areas clean and organized.
• Maintain a crisp, professional image and uniform.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to three years of bartending experience.
• Craft cocktail experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of liquor, beer, wine, and mixology.
• Excellent customer service skills in an upscale hospitality environment.
• Pleasant and helpful demeanor.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Head Bartender to lead the Brazos PTK restaurant's bartending team as it expands to include a brand-new in-restaurant bar. The role requires expertise in crafting unique cocktails and beverages and delivering a superior guest experience. From providing pre-dinner drinks to cultivating a welcoming atmosphere in the upscale bar space, the Head Bartender will play a central role in elevating the dining experience.

Schedule

Full-time: 30-40 hours per week, with days and weekend shifts varying based on forecasted business levels.
