Catering Houseperson

The Catering Houseperson supports the Montgomery Marriott Prattville Hotel and Conference Center by preparing, maintaining, and restoring banquet and event spaces before, during, and after scheduled functions. This role partners closely with the Catering and Banquet teams to help ensure events run smoothly and meet established standards.

Position Overview

As the Catering Houseperson, you will ensure function rooms and meeting spaces are set up correctly, kept in good order throughout events, and returned to a clean, guest-ready condition afterward. You will collaborate with the Catering and Banquet teams to support efficient event execution and consistently high-quality presentation.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and prepare function rooms in line with event specifications.
• Maintain strong knowledge of function rooms, meeting spaces, service areas, equipment, and standard event setups.
• Set up, service, and break down banquet and catering functions efficiently according to established standards.
• Safely handle, transport, clean, and properly store banquet equipment, furniture, and supplies.
• Inspect function spaces before and after events to confirm they are clean, organized, properly equipped, and ready for guests.

Education

High School or better.
