Dog Groomer

Build your ideal grooming routine in Christiansburg, Virginia at Prestige Pet Hotel & Spa. This is an onsite pet grooming role designed for experienced groomers who want flexibility and strong earning potential. You earn 55% commission on all grooming services and you keep 100% of your tips, with dedicated bather support handling the behind-the-scenes prep.

Scheduling, marketing, payments, supplies, and normal day-to-day expenses are managed by the business, so you can focus on your craft. Choose your own days, hours, and workload, with full-time or part-time opportunities available.

In addition to a steady client flow from boarding, daycare, and pet-care guests, you will work in a busy pet hotel setting with a beautiful, spacious grooming area, including three extra-large professional bathing tubs and three professional grooming tables. The team provides extensive grooming equipment and supplies, with no booth rent or salon overhead.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, professional grooming services based on each client’s requests and each pet’s individual needs
• Complete breed-specific and customized haircuts
• Assess coats, skin, behavior, and overall condition before beginning services
• Communicate clearly with the front desk about client requests and recommended services
• Treat every pet with patience, compassion, and professionalism
• Keep grooming stations clean, safe, and organized
• Follow Prestige Pet Hotel & Spa safety and sanitation standards
• Work cooperatively with bathers, front desk staff, and the broader pet-care team

Requirements

• Professional pet-grooming experience
• Strong skills in scissoring, clipping, bathing, drying, and nail care
• Ability to groom dogs safely and efficiently
• Patience and confidence with pets of different sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments
• Dependable, organized, and professional approach
• Comfort communicating with clients and team members

Compensation

$1,500.00 to $2,000.00 per week, plus 55% commission on grooming services and 100% of tips.
