Duty Mechanic

Join the Engineering and Maintenance team at The Riverside Hotel, Boise in Garden City, ID (onsite). In this role, you will keep the hotel’s physical features and grounds in dependable condition, support day-to-day guest needs through assigned room calls, and help maintain a safe, well-run work environment.

What you’ll be doing

As a Duty Mechanic, your work focuses on maintaining and repairing both interior and exterior areas of the property.

• Repair and maintain the physical features of the hotel and grounds
• Complete all assigned work orders
• Complete room calls as assigned
• Change light bulbs and ballasts
• Clean up grounds and the parking lot
• Repair faucets, toilets, and drains
• Paint, stain, and/or repair interior and exterior finishes
• Fill out a daily Engineering report and complete other duties assigned by your supervisor
• Provide for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules

Key skills and qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred
• Familiar with hand and power tools (technology/tools used)
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
• Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to work unsupervised
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Flexible scheduling and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS
