Job Description

Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel is hiring an EVS Attendant to help keep the property clean, orderly, and welcoming for both casino guests and internal team members. In this onsite Environmental Services role at Santa Ana Pueblo, NM, you will support day-to-day upkeep across restrooms, common areas, offices, and other venues throughout the facility.

What you’ll do

  • Provide effective, professional customer service while interacting with guests and team members.
  • Maintain cleanliness of property floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Move or push furniture to clean underneath as needed.
  • Clean multiple venues and outlets across the property.
  • Gather and empty wastebaskets, including deep cleaning wastebaskets as required.
  • Service, clean, restock, and supply property restrooms.
  • Dust slot machines, furniture, walls, and equipment.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using required cleaning supplies and chemicals.
  • Sweep stairwells and clean elevators.
  • Use cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Report hazardous conditions or broken equipment immediately to the supervisor.
  • Advise management of repairs or supply shortages in assigned areas and remain accountable for cleanliness and overall condition.
  • Follow established safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.
  • Know cleaning chemicals and adhere to all MSDS safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
  • Bi-lingual and multi-cultural experience is helpful.
  • Good interpersonal, guest service, and communication skills.
  • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required.
  • All employees must proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission non-gaming license.

Working conditions and physical demands

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate controlled, non-smoking environment.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, turn, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to work various hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and maneuver around the facility to collect and distribute necessary materials.
  • Requires the physical ability to safely perform essential job functions.
